Warranty Discloser
Shift RCS Warranty Disclosure
At Shift RCS, we build gear to perform—and we stand behind it. Our Lifetime Gear Warranty covers all Shift RCS steering servos and wheels against manufacturing defects and functional failures when used as intended.
✅ What’s Covered
Defects in materials or workmanship
Gear-related failures during normal, intended RC use
Housings or internal components that fail under normal operating stress
❌ What’s Not Covered
Damage caused by abuse, crashes, misuse, or improper installation
Electrical damage resulting from incorrect voltage, inadequate amperage, water intrusion, or wiring errors
Cosmetic wear or aging that does not affect performance
Use in competitive, commercial, or extreme applications without proper maintenance
Power Requirements & Warranty Policy
All Shift RCS high-performance digital servos are engineered to operate within specific voltage and amperage requirements. Proper power delivery is critical to both performance and longevity.
Power System Requirement
Shift RCS servos must be powered by a properly rated external BEC capable of delivering stable voltage with sufficient continuous and peak amperage. As stated in each product description, Shift RCS specifies the Castle BEC 2.0 for approved operation.
Use of Underpowered Power Systems
Using an underpowered BEC, receiver-powered setup, or any power system unable to meet the servo’s current demand places the servo outside of its designed operating parameters.
When adequate amperage is not available, the following may occur:
Voltage drops under load
Partial motor stall conditions
Increased internal electrical resistance
Excessive heat buildup
Permanent damage to motor windings and control electronics
Damage resulting from these conditions is considered improper power supply, not a manufacturing defect.
Warranty Coverage Limitations
Failures caused by insufficient amperage, voltage sag, or improper power delivery are not covered under warranty and may void warranty eligibility.
Non-warranty conditions include, but are not limited to:
Use of an underpowered or non-approved BEC
Receiver-powered servo operation
Evidence of thermal or electrical damage due to current starvation
Operation outside published voltage or amperage specifications
Evaluation & Customer Support
While these situations fall outside standard warranty coverage, Shift RCS stands behind its customers. If you experience an issue, you may submit a Warranty & Service Request through our website along with proof of purchase.
Once received, we will evaluate the product and determine whether repair options or alternative assistance may be available at our discretion.
💬 How to Start a Warranty or Service Request
To begin a claim, please complete the Warranty & Service Form on our website.
Please be prepared to include:
Original order number or proof of purchase
